The family-owned food maker is best known for its sweets, including M&Ms, Snickers, Skittles and its eponymous candy bar. But it also makes Pedigree dog food and Uncle Ben's rice. Late in April, Mars said it would buy chewing gum-maker Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. in a deal worth about $23 billion.
