The U.S. alone is estimated to need over $1 trillion of infrastructure investment. And in this neck of the woods Chris Beale, former head of Citigroup's global project finance division, is the ax. His firm, Alinda, launched in 2005, is buying assets like the U.S. side of the Detroit--Windsor, Ont., tunnel. And he's raising a new $5 billion fund.
