White plastic H-shapes distribute and reduce pressure on the back. Leaf springs, as opposed to the old-school coil-spring tilt, make it easier to lean back. The back of the seat drops and cradles you as you recline, while the front edge of the seat remains parallel to the floor, supporting the thigh, pelvis, and sacral region of the spine.
