Mraz, 32, bought five acres in Southern California to farm avocados, of which he himself eats two to four per day. He sells the fruits locally with no plans to expand his business. For now, he gets enough satisfaction simply from growing, picking, eating, and sharing them with his neighbors and friends when he's not on tour.
In an interview with CNN last year, Mraz explained, "I do sell my avocados. I mean, they don't have a sticker on them that say that these are from the Mraz Farms, but...my trees are 25 to 30 years old and, two or three times a year, [workers] come through and they pick 'em all."
