The avocado celebrity
While we're willing to bet that it's Jason Mraz's multi-platinum-selling music that keeps him financially afloat, it might just be the singer-songwriter's other passion, avocados, that enable him to write songs that have made him a symbol of sun-drenched happiness.

Mraz, 32, bought five acres in Southern California to farm avocados, of which he himself eats two to four per day. He sells the fruits locally with no plans to expand his business. For now, he gets enough satisfaction simply from growing, picking, eating, and sharing them with his neighbors and friends when he's not on tour.

In an interview with CNN last year, Mraz explained, "I do sell my avocados. I mean, they don't have a sticker on them that say that these are from the Mraz Farms, but...my trees are 25 to 30 years old and, two or three times a year, [workers] come through and they pick 'em all."
