Last year was a choppy ride for US Airways, whose stock underwent heavy oscillations before finishing down for the year. Like most other airlines, US Airways was walloped in 2009 by declining passenger volumes.

Shares fell severely in the beginning of the year, when the company reported losses and cut capacity. But the stock has bounced back recently as traffic has picked up.
