Coca-Cola's World Cup marketing campaign last summer--a bonanza of commercials, music and stadium advertising across 160 countries--was as clear a sign as any of where Coke is headed for growth. The cola giant's progress in Latin America with juices like Del Valle and in China with Minute Maid Pulpy helped drive profits up 73% in 2010. Also helping the bottom line was a $5 billion gain Coke recorded after buying its largest American bottler.
