Long-running questions about who could be the next CEO of Fidelity were finally settled this summer. Abigail Johnson, daughter of the company's 82-year-old chief executive, Edward C. Johnson III, was promoted to president in August. Talk about a portfolio: She oversees 38,000 employees, all of Fidelity's core businesses, and its $3.7 trillion in assets under administration.
